Get to Evidence Fast

Delium allows you to access evidence quickly right from the home page, without even running a search. Click on a folder in the ‘virtual bookcase’. Open a bundle of documents for targeted review. Choose a particular document type or select one of the top 100 most frequent words in your evidence. A couple of clicks and you are reviewing your evidence.

If you want to run a search you can start with a single word or phrase, just like in Google, and Delium will find relevant documents across your whole case.

Simple Coding and Review

Users can issue code, bundle/tag, comment, highlight and redact with minimal effort, creating rich layers of analysis for the benefit of all legal team members. Pre-defined field choices can be set up for consistent coding.

Create chronologies to set out your case. Code a single document, code in bulk, selectively code from your search results, code attachments, code related documents – with Delium it is all really simple.

Powerful Searching Tools

Users can search across collected meta-data or the text contents of the documents using three search modes -Simple, Template or Advanced Search.

Whether you start with a single word or phrase or run more complex nested searches applying Boolean logic you can rely on Delium to find your evidence.

Searches can be easily contracted to exclude duplicates or expanded to include related documents or attachments. The Indexed Words thesaurus allows users to find related and conceptually similar words.

Sophisticated Bundling and Tagging

Using a Delium Hierarchy field Users can tag and create bundles of documents for a range of purposes such as tagging documents to be produced or those referred to in a Witness Statement.

These bundles can be used as the basis for a report, can be exported, or can be compared against each other to see the differences and similarities between Bundle A and Bundle B. Users can share access to the bundles or keep them private while they continue to work on them.

If you have ever been tempted to print documents and put them into a folder, they can be tagged and bundled in Delium remaining secure and saving a tree.

Automated Redaction and Hyperlinking

Users can run searches for words or terms in a document and apply bulk redactions automatically. Pre-defined regular expressions make finding personally identifying information such as phone numbers or email addresses easy.

Fantastic Annotation Tools

Throw away your highlighter pens and sticky notes, Delium’s annotation tools allows Users to mark-up documents using 13 different annotation types in 27 colours. Annotations can be categorised to align with case issues, made public to your team or kept private to a User.

All annotations are fully searchable and can be printed to PDF on the document.

Delium’s unique ‘Publication’ annotation can be used in Trial to select and publish a specific region of a document or to show X marks the spot. This function is demonstrably superior to the standard callout.

Alias Management

Delium has always known people and organisations are at the heart of most disputes, but over time people and organisations can evolve and change their names. That’s why we built our Alias Management Modules where all the permutations of a persons or organisations name can be linked under a friendly ‘Alias’.

Instead of having to enter multiple different email addresses into your search you can just enter ‘Joe Bloggs’ and every document sent by or to Joe will be found. If you know ‘Joe’ also goes by the name ‘Barry’ you can link that name in too, without having to sanitise the data you provide during production to the other side – let them work it out themselves.

It doesn’t just have to be a single person or an organisation you Alias. You can link all the people on Team A or Team B or all the lawyers names as a way of identifying potentially privileged documents.

Key Documents

Delium makes it easy to keep on top of critical case developments even when you’re not logged in. Access Delium’s Key Document module to ‘subscribe’ to the documents you are most interested in and Delium will keep an eye on the analysis applied to them. You can also subscribe other Users who need to be kept in the loop.

Once you are subscribed, Delium will send you a single daily email alert if anything changes on your key documents, ensuring you’re never left in the dark regarding critical document analysis.

The Key Documents module is the perfect way to update members of your team who are not always in the office.

Simple Imports Exports and Reports

Audio and Video Support

Delium streams all of the audio and video formats supported by the HTML5 standard and can include subtitles or closed captions. Playback can begin prior to downloading the entire content and once playback has started, the navigation bar can be used to jump to any point within the audio/video. Delium provides a download link for video and audio files so that the content can be saved locally and also reviewed offline.

Comprehensive Audit Trails

The auditing capabilities of Delium provide significant detail at a document, folder or workflow process level to assist Case Managers monitor case activity. A time zone offset can be applied against the time setting on the server the case is resident on to get a true picture of the work undertaken by a team spread across multiple time-zones.

One Evidence Library - Several Cases?

In a variety of scenarios lawyers work with multiple related cases or claims that share some evidentiary materials (for example, class action types claims or litigation that becomes the subject of an Government Inquiry or Regulatory Review). Typically, in such cases, shared materials have both common objective information and unique case specific data and analysis.
